Fifteen years on your side of the table.
I'm Amrita Hazari. Before Inside Cubicle, I spent fifteen years in advertising — J. Walter Thompson, Leo Burnett, Havas, and Wunderman Thompson — ending as Associate Vice President, running accounts like The Times of India, Apple, and Nestlé. Wunderman Thompson named me to its high-potential programme across India and Southeast Asia, and made me the only Indian on its nine-person Global Ambition Team.
Account leadership is a career spent accountable for work you cannot do alone — which means a career spent judging people. Who can carry a demanding client. Who folds in a crisis. Who interviews brilliantly and disappears in a war room. Who is worth fighting to keep. Somewhere along the way I realised that reading people was the sharpest tool I had.
Inside Cubicle is where that line of thought led. The more teams I built, the clearer it became that hiring is where companies quietly win or lose — and that the industry serving it had optimised for volume over judgement. The fix isn't a better database. It's someone senior actually doing the work: reading, speaking, judging, choosing. So that's the company I built.
